Marketing Strategist/Account Executive

Position Summary

The Marketing Strategist / Account Executive plays a central role in interpreting client campaign objectives into digital-content-focused strategies. This person works closely with clients, and partners with the agency’s internal team to identify opportunities and activate digital content strategies. Marketing Strategists / Account Executives are partially or fully allocated to specific client business, and serve as day-to-day contacts across client, strategy, creative, and design teams. The Marketing Strategist / Account Executive provides proactive client management, and focuses on developing deep and trusting client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops unique strategies and builds upon current client strategies within to meet/exceed objectives
  • Works with the Traffic Manager to foster timeline development and monitor progress, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Works with the Traffic manager to manage overall project scope and ensure staffing assumptions adhere to budget
  • Develops strong, trusting relationships between clients and agency partners, providing leadership and support during strategy, ideation, and execution
  • Manages client expectations, bringing issues/concerns to clients' attention before they become problems, offering potential solutions, and advising of potential delivery delays
  • Uses internal agency resources to develop proposals for clients
  • Proactively keeps abreast of assigned clients' marketing and media plans, and provides technological solutions including rich media, site optimization, promotional and game ideas, mobile, social networks, viral, etc.
  • Writes communications briefs, ensuring that creative and media are effectively integrated
  • Manages research studies that yield rich insights into consumer online behavior and key motivational/attitudinal behavior
  • Develops a total understanding of online target audience and mindset modes
  • Reviews statements and estimates of work prior to client review
  • Participates in new business initiatives
  • Creates and implements effective marketing plans​
  • Ensures accountability is established during the project planning process

Required Skills:

  • Minimum education experience required – Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 1 year advertising/marketing experience required, 2+ years preferred in creative, media, and/or account management for digital advertising/marketing, 1+ years management experience desirable, sales experience a plus
  • Experience in formulating and implementing long-term strategic account plans, marketing strategies, and campaigns​
  • Demonstrated ability to react quickly to assess and implement solutions
  • Excellent communications skills, including the ability to think on his/her feet during presentations, explain in simple terms complex or technical information to non-technical people, and persuasively sell ideas
  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
